                                                                   Can A Population Control Law

Hello Friends, Lets’ see the 4 reasons why a population control law is a bad idea.

1 Large Population can benefit.

It is an old idea that if the population of a country will increase, it will not progress. The human population grows faster than the growth in resources. Each person will have less food, water, etc. For that high population, countries will see less growth. What is the relationship between population and economic growth? It is very important because it decides that Should India go towards high growth for the control of the population. Or too less growth of the population to make our economic growth high. for china, signup, and the Philippines, the population is found to Granger cause economic for Hing Kong and Malaysia, and economic growth is found to granger cause population and not vice versa. And the second is, In low-income countries, rapid population growth is likely to be detrimental in the short and modern term. But in the longer run, there is likely to be a demographic dividend in these countries as these young people become productive adults. And the same is in India.

2 India’s population can be an asset.

Even if some people do not believe in this, to some extent, India has been able to reduce the population of the country. The total fertility rate is the average number of children a woman would have if she survives all her childbearing years. And TFR of about 2.1 is called replacement level fertility it represents the average number of children a woman would need to have to replace the previous generation. Other than 9 States the TFR of all states is less than 2.1.  According to world bank data, The annual population Growth rate is – 2001- 1.73%, 2018- 1.04%. And the high TFR states Like Harinaya, UP, and Bihar should also have less population as compared with the past. The current TFR of India is 2.2. And probably from 2031, India’s TFR is 2.1. By 2050 India’s population will peak at 1.6 billion. Two factors decide population growth – 1 . Total Fertility Rate. 2. No. of women of childbearing age. India has – 1. Decreasing population growth rate. 2. a High number of working-age people. India’s population is an asset according to this.

3 Govt. Gets an excuse.

BJP MP demands strict laws to control the country’s population. 167 children died of encephalitis in Bihar. Apart from being immoral blaming the population gives politicians a good excuse for their failures. Young and jobless Indian graduates struggle to find employment. The Indian govt’s favorite solution to any problem is? BAN! India’s Bihar state bans alcohol. India is banning all e-cigarettes over fears about youth vaping. Google is said to block TikTok in India. After India’s ban on more than 800 porn sites, the crackdown intensifies. BJP legislator wants momos banned, says they cause life-threatening diseases. Are neighboring states gaining from illegal alcohol sales in Bihar? – Education of women. – Access to contraceptives. – Investment in family programs. Private member’s Bill calls for the two-child norm.

4 Problems of the one-child policy.

China’s population would top 4 billion in 2080. The Ideal target population 100 years in the future was 650 to 700 million. One child policy was adopted in the early 1980s. The one-child policy wasn’t as effective as people think it was. A common claim is that the policy has prevented some 400 million Chinese births. Lifting the one-child policy is unlikely to have a major impact on population size. Families performed sex-selective abortions. Which has created a gender imbalance in society. We are talking about between 20 million and 30 million young men who are not going to be able to find a wife. In 1992, Rajasthan introduces a two-child norm. Which doesn’t allow people with 2 children from contesting panchayat and municipal elections. Several disqualified representatives had resorted to induced abortion. Some people say they have given up their child for adoption. those who had the power, influence, and resources to maneuver or contest, could circumvent the norm. So that is about Can A Population Control Law
